Who we are
Blackdown Outdoor makes steel enclosures for heat pumps and AC units in the South West of England. For anything about your personal data, email [email protected].
What we collect
We only collect what you type into our forms:
- Register interest: name, email, phone (optional), postcode, unit type, and the brand and model of your unit.
- Trade enquiry: name, company, email, phone, MCS number, region and installs per month.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this website.
Why we use it
To reply to you, to tell you when an enclosure for your unit is available, and to set up and run trade accounts. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We will not sell your data or pass it to anyone for marketing.
Who handles it for us
- Web3Forms receives form submissions and forwards them to our email.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and processes basic technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect it.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, so your browser connects to Google when the page loads.
- Our email provider stores the messages we receive.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Register-interest details are kept until our enclosures launch and for up to 24 months after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Trade account details are kept while the account is active and as long as we need them for legal and accounting reasons.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
